Trainee Broker Support (Insurance Underwriting Agency)

We are currently working with an ambitious wholesale insurance broker and MGA based near Liverpool Street, in the City of London, who are currently seeking to recruit a Trainee Broker Support Technician to join their 7 strong Commercial SME Team.

With aspirations to operate as an MGA, this firm’s success is wholly dependent upon the effective management of both insurers and brokers. Ensuring excellent engagement with, and performance for, insurers is of paramount importance to ensure the continued sustainability of the insurer panel offered to brokers. Equally, the quality of servicing provided to the brokers (users) is a key driver in the successful delivery of the business.

As a trainee here, you will initially deal with Inbound phone calls and emails, providing efficient, timely and professional support to the broking team for insurance renewals, mid-term adjustments and general queries. This role will offer you the opportunity to progress into underwriting once you have gained an understanding of their products and you have developed (Aided by first class coaching and assistance from an experienced team, with professional qualifications also being supported) this really is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first insurance role.

No previous experience is required, just the right mentality and desire to work for a small fast paced company in the city. Applications are particularly sought after from recent graduates or bright and ambitious college leavers who are keen to secure a career in the London Insurance market!

You will also need to possess a friendly professional demeanour with the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel is also desired.
