Account Handlers

We are currently working with an Insurance Brokers, who have several opportunities to join them as an Account Handler, to work on an existing business team, in a customer service focused role, dealing with commercial clients. They specialise in providing insurance to Youth/charity groups, such as the Scouts and Girl Guides, as well as helping a wide range of other charity/not for profit organisations, so this charity-based spirit runs through thus organisation, with them being a highly ethical and honest employer.

They are looking to speak to you if you have at least 6 months insurance experience, whether that be in Personal Lines or Commercial, as long as you have an understanding of the insurance renewals process, and you want to work for a business that makes a difference to it’s clients. They will also consider those who have recently graduated, or if you have experience gained in a sales or customer service based role with the transferable skills they need.

You will be required to handle Commercial Insurance renewals for exiting customers, in a very soft low target setting, where quality counts over quantity. There isn’t a cross sell culture here, it is very much about concentrating on what you customer already has in place.

You will be joining an existing team of friendly and experienced insurance professionals, that really do get on and care about the company they work for.

This job offers flexible working with the option to work from home at least 2 days a week, with 3 in the office.

The salary on offer is £24,937 per year, Holiday Entitlement of 25 days per year plus bank holidays. This increases after two years’ service to 28 days and after five years to 32 days! They also offer additional Holidays: They operate an office closure during the Christmas and New Year holiday period that provides up to an additional 3 days of extra leave.

You will have access to a medical scheme to help you with the cost of your everyday healthcare fully funded by them such as optical, dental and many more. You will also get access to a gym discount, family days out discount and online health risk assessment.

There is also a generous pension scheme on offer. This plan allows employees to contribute a minimum of 2% of their gross salary up to the maximum allowed within HMRC limits. The company will contribute twice your contribution, up to a maximum of 10%!

There is also free car parking on site for all employees.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however all staff are given an extra 2 hours off a week to do with as they want!
